Lawrence Knighton is the Senior Pastor/Teacher of The St. James Baptist Church (www.stjamesmbc.com) located in Baconton, Ga. Since being called to St. James, the ministry has grown numerically, financially, and spiritually. Prior to his current position as pastor of the St. James Baptist Church; Knighton served in many capacities at the Greater 2nd Mt. Olive Baptist Church where Lorenzo Heard is Senior Pastor.

Pastor Knighton also is the author of a book that has blessed the lives of many people across the country titled “If It’s Love It Will Last.” You can view the book on his website at www.myrelationshipmovement.com . Lawrence was also nominated the Philanthropist of the 2020 year by the Albany Herald Newspaper in Albany, GA.

Pastor Knighton is married to the lovely Dr. Tracy McNair. He has one son, Devon Knighton, a daughter Jennifer John, and has three grandsons, Devon Jr, Jordan Michael, and Khari Knighton. Lawrence and his wife live in Albany, Georgia.
