Retired CEO of Manatee County Rural Health Services (MCR Health), Mr. Presha exemplifies a selfless devotion to the well-being of all mankind regardless of race, creed, color, or socio-economic status. He is a major philanthropist and an exemplary community leader. He has always demonstrated his care and compassion continuing to work to provide the uninsured people of Manatee County, Florida with the best healthcare and preventative health education.
Mr. Presha took over MCR Health Services when the agency was struggling and turned it into the largest federally qualified health agency in Florida. Mr. Presha is also a decorated military veteran who was drafted into the United States Army in 1966, eventually serving as platoon leader in Vietnam. After becoming combat wounded in 1970, Mr. Presha went into the Army Reserves, where he was promoted to Captain and eventually retired as a full Colonel. The Purple Heart and the Legion of Merit badge are among his many decorations.
