Lauderdale Lakes, FL – August 22, 2025 – The Figgers Foundation is proud to support the Boyd H. Anderson High School Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team as they embark on an inspiring journey to compete in two prestigious national tournaments this fall.

The historic Boyd H. Anderson program has long been known for developing talented young athletes who excel both on and off the court. This year, the team has been invited to showcase its skills at a high-profile basketball tournament in Houston, Texas, over Thanksgiving weekend, followed by the celebrated “Great Illinois Shootout” in Carbondale, Illinois, in December.

For many of the team’s 14 student-athletes, these trips represent far more than basketball. It will be their first time traveling outside Florida, providing them with exposure to new environments, cultures, and opportunities. The tournaments are an important milestone that encourages students to dream bigger, build confidence, and strive for excellence in all aspects of life.

As part of its mission to empower and uplift communities, the Figgers Foundation stepped forward as a donor to help make this life-changing experience possible.
